MODEL H40 | CENTER HUNG, DOUBLE ACTING FLOOR CLOSERS

The Norton Rixson H40 Series is a double-acting, center-hung floor closer designed for thick, extra-heavy door installation for interior or exterior doors weighing up to 1000lbs.

PRODUCT FEATURES

• H40 floor closer, non-hold open
• Double acting, non-handed
• Interior or exterior doors (primary means of egress should not use double-acting closers, weighing up to 1000lbs.
• H340 top pivot included
• Available non-hold open (N) or automatic hold open (A) at 90° (requires 93° swing) or 100 ° (requires 103° swing)
• Maximum door opening 103°
• For thick, extra heavy doors (2″ min. thickness)
• 587 is a special side load arm for 1-3/4” thick doors; this arm allows the pivot point to be moved away from the pivot edge of the door, minimum 2-3/4” backset
• Adjustable closing speed valves for each direction of door swing
• The mechanism returns the door to the center
• Auxiliary door stop required, overhead or floor type
• Not allowed for fire-rated doors
• Available with floor plate or threshold installation
• Steel cement case
• This arm does not allow door centering adjustment (not recommended for pairs of doors)
• Door sizes up to 4’0″ x 8’6″ (1219 x 2591mm)
